30th Commemoration of the January Massacre

On 1st of January 2020, the Director of the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR), Mr Djavid Paknehad was invited to the event organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Moldova and the Moldavian representative office of the Baku International Center for Multiculturalism in collaboration with the Agency for Interethnic Relations of the Republic of Moldova, to commemorate  the 30 years’ anniversary of the Black January.

In January 1990, in Baku there was  a violent crackdown on a civilian population pursuant to a state of emergency  during the dissolution of the Soviet Union.  The event was called “The Past – the Key to the Present.”

The event was attended by representatives of the embassies, the Ministers, the Mayoralty and local authorities and non-governmental organizations.
