The Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR) and the Regional Representation of UNHCR initiated several meetings to advocate the access for vulnerable asylum-seekers living at the Temporary Accommodation Centre and refugees to state social canteen under the same conditions as citizens.

Following the negotiations with the Municipal Social Work and Health Directorate and Bureau for Migration and Asylum, the need and right of our beneficiaries was recognised after identifying the best fit way to keep confidentiality of the personal data, clarify the hygiene and delivery aspects. Therefore, starting with 1 November and at the moment, 29 vulnerable asylum-seekers and refugees have already benefited from lunch one time per day at the Temporary Accommodation Centre and at one of the social canteens from the city.

The implementation of the service is going smooth and, in this regard, CCR would like to thanks the Head of the Municipal Social Work and Health Directorate, Mrs. Tatiana Bucearschi for guidance and support offered to ensure high-level standards in providing the service. In near future the collaboration will be reflected in a tripartite agreement.
