On 5th of May 2020, the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR), partner of the Regional Representation of UNHCR for Central Europe and Bureau for Migration and Asylum, distributed food products provided by the Municipal authorities of Chisinau to the most vulnerable asylum-seekers and refugees living in the Republic of Moldova.
Therefore, packages with food products were provided to 37 asylum-seekers residing at the Temporary Accommodation Centre while 2 packages were provided to two refugee families in the city. It is worth to mention that mostly of the beneficiaries have lost their jobs due to the quarantine declared by the state which affected significantly their lives and this assistance is much needed.
The assistance is highly appreciated by CCR, we are thankful to the Mayor of the Chisinau, Mr. Ion Ceban and the Head of the Municipal Social Work and Health Directorate, Mrs. Tatiana Bucearschi and her colleagues, who ensured our persons of concern have necessary products for them.
