On 30th of December 2019, the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR), in the framework UNHCR Budapest and in collaboration with the Bureau of Migration and Asylum in Moldova (BMA), organized the celebration of the winter holidays for refugee and asylum-seeking children at the “Licurici” Puppet Theatre.
Refugee, asylum-seeking and local children, together with their parents were warmly welcomed by the Director of CCR, Mr. Djavid Paknehad.
At the event, participated the local children: from Mereni and Razeni villages, from “Galata” gymnasium (where the asylum-seeking children are studying), of the representatives from BMA and of the representatives from the General Directorate for Social Assistance and Health, Chisinau municipality, Botanica sector, in order to integrate effectively in the host-society the adults and children from the refugee community and to familiarize them with the local traditions and habits.
The festive program of the event included Santa Claus with his assistants, who made fun to the present children, and a nice puppet performance.
At the end, CCR distributed Christmas gifts to all children and wished them a Happy New Year.
