On 24 October 2019, the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR) in partnership with the Moldovan Football Federation organized, in the framework of UEFA project, a football tournament for children that took place at Galata Gymnasium where participated around 150 children and adults.
It gathered twelve teams, including two refugee teams under the name of RESPECT and two teams from School no. 49, one of which were girls, and the other ones were from Galata gymnasium and, of course, fans that encouraged the players. At the tournament were invited Mrs. Diana Bulgaru, representative of the Moldovan Football Federation, the deputy director of Galata gymnasium, Mrs. Svetlana Ciocoi and director of CCR, Mr. Djavid Paknehad who handed certificates of recognition for participants, cups to the winners and balls.
The tournament was organized during social campaign Football People Weeks under the #EqualGame slogan and aimed at promoting diversity and respect in football activities.
