The Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR), partner of UNHCR and Bureau for Migration and Asylum in Moldova, has fulfilled its commitment to negotiate with the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy ”Nicolae Testimitanu” in order to make sure that beneficiaries of international protection in Moldova have access to the residential studies under the same conditions as citizens of the Republic of Moldova.

After several discussions with representatives of the university, the Administration Council accepted a Syrian beneficiary of humanitarian protection to submit the application for the contest under the same conditions as citizens of Moldova according to the Asylum Law of the Republic of Moldova no. 270. Out of 12 candidates aspiring for a place for residential studies in medicine, the Syrian refugee was one of the 3 that was selected to continue his studies.

CCR would like to thank the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy ”Nicolae Testimitanu” that complies with asylum law of the Republic of Moldova, it is highly appreciated the contribution state institutions offer to support integration of refugees, including in the educational system of the country.
