On 21 October 2015, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Moldova, the Bureau of Migration and Asylum (BMA) and UNHCR implementing partners met with persons of concern at the Bureau of Inter-ethnic Relations. All interested refugees and asylum seekers residing in the Republic of Moldova were invited to participate.The meeting was opened with speeches by Mr. Traian Turcanu, Head of UNHCR and Mrs. Ecaterina Silvestru, the Deputy Director of BMA on the current refugee situation and on-going armed conflicts around the world. The speeches were followed by a questions and answer session, in which participants were encouraged to raise comments.
