The Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR), partner of the Regional Office of UNHCR in Budapest and the Bureau for Migration and Asylum, participated on 8th of December 2019 at the XXIII edition of the International Charity Bazaar.
The event is organized by the International Women’s Club of Moldova and is a wonderful tradition that gathers for a day, the national and international communities, to create a magic atmosphere of the winter holidays. Representatives of 25 diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Moldova and international organizations participated at the International Charity Bazaar 2019.
CCR, European volunteers and the refugee community represented by countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, India, Syria, Ecuador, France and other was supportive and brought for sale handicrafts made by refugee and asylum-seeking women and children such as postcards, friendship bracelets, decorative trees, masks, knitted items etc. Moreover, four refugees performed an Indian and Ecuadorian dance on the stage.
All donations accumulated on this event will be distributed as grants to NGOs that implement projects for the benefit of children and women from socially vulnerable groups. CCR is glad that had the opportunity to support such initiative and create awareness and promote solidarity.
