INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE AT ULIM

The Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR) participated on 17 October 2019 at the International Conference “History, politics and mass-media in the post-soviet societies and the world” organized by the Free International University of Moldova (ULIM).

At the event were representatives of ULIM management, faculty, teachers and students, as well as distinguished guests, such as: Volodymyr Boyechko, Charge d’Affaires a.i. of Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova; Tatiana Busuncian, Pro Marshall Center of the RM director; Yifeng Wang, director of the Confucius Institute.

Topics addressed at the conference include: education in the post-Soviet transition period, nation-building and identity in post-Soviet societies, democratization, relations with the EU, new media and democracy in post-Soviet Eurasia. The plenary session was followed by 7 training panels attended by local and international experts. The director of CCR, Mr. Djavid Paknehad, held a session speaking about the refugee situation in the Republic of Moldova.

The international conference was organized by the Doctoral schools in Humanities, Political and Communication Sciences and Faculty of International Relations, Political Science and Journalism, Centre for European studies on the occasion of 27 years from ULIM foundation in the Republic of Moldova.
