On 29th of September 2021, the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR), partner of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Bureau for Migration and Asylum (BMA) of the Republic of Moldova, had the pleasure to invite UN and national officials to the inauguration of the renovated Community Centre. The opening began with a speech by CCR’s Director, Mr. Djavid Paknehad, simultaneously with the presentation of images of the office until and after the reparation. Then, the Representative of the Regional Office of UNHCR for Central Europe, Mr. Roland Schilling, said that he enjoys the result and that CCR manages to do many activities, despite a fairly small space.
After, the floor took the: State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Interim Director of BMA, Rector of the State Pedagogical University “Ion Creanga”, In Charge of Affairs of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Chisinau, Program Analyst, Violence Against Women and Girls area from UN Women and Program Coordinator from International Organization for Migration, saying that they will do everything possible to maintain and develop the bridges of collaboration with CCR. The Community Centre is intended to CCR’s beneficiaries (refugees, beneficiaries of humanitarian protection, asylum-seekers and mixed families) to meet each other and discuss on different topics.
At the end, CCR introduced a new partner, “Wayris”, which is the first company in the Republic of Moldova whose activity is the production of eatable cups, thus protecting the nature and environment.
