Meeting on Independence Day and “Our language Day” at the Temporary Accommodation Centre

On 24.08.2021, the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR) had an offline meeting for the asylum seekers living at the Temporary Accommodation Centre (TAC) which was dedicated to the celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova (27th of August) and “Ziua Limba Noastra” – “Our Language Day” (31st of August). The presentation in PowerPoint aimed at informing participants about the local celebrations and traditions. At the end, the asylum seekers had the opportunity to answer the quiz about these celebrations.

In total, at this event participated 18 persons – 13 asylum seekers, Director of TAC and 4 CCR’s members. This meeting was organized within the UNHCR’s Project for 2021 and support of the Bureau for Migration and Asylum for the asylum seekers’ better understanding of the culture and traditions of the host country – Republic of Moldova.
