On 3 August, Women’s Club started its activity and program that aim to improve conditions and opportunities for refugee/asylum seeking women on their way to integration into Moldavian society. In August, Club was open two times per week on Monday and Wednesday, from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m., for all interested women including young girls. Starting with the month of September, at the request of refugee women, the activities of the Club take place daily on Saturday.Women’s Club initiated by a refugee woman from Iraq allows refugee and asylum seeker women to meet together with CCR staff and EVS volunteers in a relaxed, safe, women-only environment. It also offers the opportunity for women to meet volunteers and other refugee and asylum seeking women originated from Syria, Iraq, Ukraine, etc., to practice state language, build confidence and develop new skills in cooking, sewing, artistic workshops.Women are thankful to UNHCR and CCR for supporting the initiative, which allows them to do things they like most.
