Sunday, 22nd of July, was the day of an informal gathering organized by Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR), partner of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Moldova and Bureau of Migration and Asylum (BMA). This event was connected with the World Refugees Day and the 16th anniversary from the first adoption of the asylum law in the Republic of Moldova.
Beside refugees, asylum seekers and beneficiaries of the humanitarian protection (PoCs), there were representatives from UNHCR, BMA and other partners, almost 140 participants. The event took place in a beautiful area of a touristic complex in Ialoveni district and was opened officially by CCR`s director – Mr. Djavid Paknehad, followed by the speeches of UNHCR`s head – Mr. Traian Țurcanu and BMA`s director – Mrs. Olga Poalelungi.
People were involved in in diverse activities, for example the kids of different ages were playing together, the women were discussing between them about different topics or walking and men were playing football and volleyball.
All the participants enjoyed the meeting full of sunny weather, tasty meal, awesome oriental music, Indian dances and a friendly atmosphere.
