TRAINING “TEACHING AND LEARNING THE ROMANIAN LANGUAGE AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE”

On 13th and 14th of June 2019, the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR) organized, in the framework of UNHCR project and in collaboration with the National Agency of the European Trainers from the Republic of Moldova (ANTEM), a two days training seminar for the Romanian language teachers who have or may have in their school classes refugee and asylum-seeking pupils.

At the event participated around 30 teachers from Chisinau, including Galata gymnasium, and other districts such as Calarasi, Orhei, Lipcani, Cahul, Telenesti, Donduseni, Dubasari, Anenii Noi – Mereni and Razeni villages – and Gagauzia. The event aimed at improving their capacity of teaching and integrating refugee and asylum-seeking children into school environment through providing efficient methods elaborated by the specialist and experts of ANTEM. The training “Teaching and learning the Romanian language as a foreign language” was prepared especially for teachers.

Participants at the event were welcome by the deputy director of the Asylum and Integration Directorate from the Bureau of Migration and Asylum, Ms. Tatiana Ciumas, the director of CCR, Mr. Djavid Paknehad, the director of ANTEM, Ms. Lucia Cucu and the expert and deputy rector of the Sate Pedagogical University “Ion Creanga”, Ms. Alexandra Barbaneagra.

CCR brings its gratitude to the ANTEM for the support to organize this of such an useful training and for long-lasting collaboration and to the teachers for their interest to attend and help refugee and asylum-seeking children to learn Romanian language.
