The Ukrainian Days in Moldova (UDM) festival, held on September 16, 2023, featured a panel discussion on “Women’s Leadership in Moldova-Ukraine European Integration.”
Notable people attended the event included Minister of Culture of Moldova Mr. Sergiu Prodan, actress Ms. Kristin Davis (UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador), UNHCR-Moldova Representative in Moldova Ms. Francesca Bonelli, Soprano Mrs. Valentina Nafornița (as the newest high-profile supporter of UNHCR – and the first from the Republic of Moldova), director of the Charity Centre for Refugees Mr. Djavid Paknehad, and various ambassadors.
Events occurred at Mediacor (organized by the National Congress of Ukrainians in Moldova) and Artcor (organized by UNHCR Moldova and CCR), featuring discussions on art’s role in refugee resilience and social inclusion, concluding with a performance by “Voice of the Country” theater troupe from Ukraine.
