Doing your European Voluntary Service at the Charity Centre for Refugees

The Charity Centre for Refugees has been hosting European volunteers for more than 10 years, collaborating with about 30 volunteers from countries like the Netherlands, Sweden, France, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Estonia, Poland, UK, etc., with different professional backgrounds.

Moldova is a small country in Eastern-Europe, situated between Romania in the West and Ukraine in the East. The capital Chisinau is by far Moldova’s most populous city with a population of about 700.000 people. Moldova is known for its friendly climate, delicious wine, green hills and healthy local food. As an ESC volunteer you will have the chance to get to know the country and its people, learn a new language (either the official language Romanian or Russian) and above all gain valuable experience as a volunteer.

ESC, short for European Solidarity Corps, is part of the European Union’s Erasmus+ program that gives young people the chance to volunteer abroad for up to 9 months. As an ESC volunteer you will receive accommodation, health insurance, pocket money for daily spending, language lessons and flight tickets. As such ESC is a perfect way for those who want to live abroad for a while, meet a new culture, take a break from studies or gain experience from working with a local NGO in a different country!

CCR has been keen to provide to its ESC volunteers a space, relevant conditions and an appropriate working environment, where the volunteers receive the needed support, supervision and guidance within the Integration project of Refugees and asylum seekers in the Republic of Moldova.
