On 26th of September 2018, the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR) participated at the General Meeting of the International Women’s Club of Moldova (IWCM) to share with the impact of the project supported through the Winter Charity Bazaar Fund.
Firstly, the collaboration set up between the two parties was highlighted as a change-maker factor for vulnerable categories of refugees and asylum seekers that are in risky situations. During 19 years out of 20 from the establishment of the IWCM, on a regular basis, CCR participated at the Winter Charity Bazaar and all the gathered funds we have been donated to selected project proposals of the local NGOs.
On the other hand, due to growing needs of the refugees, CCR came up with the initiative and submitted a project proposal request to the IWCM last year to provide food packages to vulnerable refugee families, to procure tools for a hairdresser room, to establish a room for children with books, toys, to furniture a tailoring room and to procure mattresses for fitness.
At the General Meeting, Mr Djavid Paknehad, director of CCR expressed his gratitude for collaboration and for supporting refugee community to the international co-president, Dr. Aisha Abdulaziz Al-Zeyara and national co-president, Mrs. Maria Marinuta. CCR encouraged the guests attending the event to participate at the next Winter Charity Bazaar and for those in need to apply for a grant at IWCM. CCR will continue to participate at charitable projects organised by the IWCM to make a change in the society.
