Community services development for refugees and asylum seekers in the Republic of Moldova (Since 1999)

The Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR) has been the implementing partner of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in the Republic of Moldova since its foundation. The project is aiming at facilitating the integration of refugees and pre-integration of asylum-seekers in the local society by conducting community-based activities, ensuring their self-reliance, access to new communities and raising awareness toward them. In the framework of this project, CCR supports refugees and asylum-seekers to integrate on the local labour market, to become self-reliant, to learn language, provides social and educational assistance, etc.

Romanian language courses for refugees and asylum-seekers with State Pedagogical University "Ion Creanga"

In the framework of UNHCR program, the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR) has signed an agreement with the State Pedagogical University “Ion Creanga” in July 2021. The university will provide language courses for refugees and asylum-seekers to facilitate their integration into the Moldovan society. Asylum-seekers accommodated at the Temporary Accommodation Centre and refugees from all over the country have access to language classes held online and offline.

Food packages from the Mayoralty of Chisinau

The Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR), partner of UNHCR Regional Representation for Central Europe, initiated in 2019 a trustworthy collaboration with the Municipal Directorate for Social Assistance and Health in the framework of which asylum seekers that live at the Temporary Accommodation Centre (TAC) and refugees in need benefit from social lunches or food packages alongside with the vulnerable locals.

Distribution of VOUCHERS FOR UKRAINIAN REFUGEES

Thanks to the generous help of donors  we were able to distribute vouchers to Ukrainian refugees in the villages of Hîrbovăț. Those vouchers can be used in the supermarket chain Linella

UKRAINE EMERGENCY RESPONSE

The project focuses on asylum seekers from Ukraine located in temporary accommodation centres, both in the capital city and in the regions of the Republic of Moldova. Taking into consideration the most urgent basic needs, the CCR has chosen 3 temporary accommodation centres where vulnerable categories of refugees reside, especially single mothers with children, older persons and persons with disabilities.

UKRAINE EMERGENCY RESPONSE – HOLISTIC HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE

The project aims at providing the beneficiaries with relief assistance: food, clean water, hygiene products, other items for everyday use; supporting the temporary asylum centres with equipment or other type of help, as well as the hosting families who offered shelter to the refugees; providing the beneficiaries with counselling and coordination assistance, social and psychological support.

UKRAINE EMERGENCY RESPONSE – ACCESS TO FOOD, WATER AND SANITATION

The project has the scope to offer Ukrainian people seeking refuge in the Republic of Moldova with humanitarian aid for the most marginalized and disadvantaged categories

COMMUNITARIAN APPROACH FOR A HOLISTIC YOUNG REFUGEE LONG-TERM INTEGRATION

In partnership with Les Militants des Savoirs and IPS Innovative Prison Systems and other European organisations, under a consortium, the Project aims to foment the active engagement of educational and NGOs professionals working with young refugees, striving to improve these refugees’ sustained integration in the medium-to-long-term, as well as promoting more tolerant and inclusive societies.
