UKRAINE EMERGENCY RESPONSE – HYGIENE AND SANITATION
The Project aimed at responding to the immediate needs of the refugees and asylum seekers fleeing Ukraine by facilitating access to essential products of vital importance – food, water, and hygiene conditions, as well as supporting the capacity of the local community (vulnerable households/refugee centres/local authorities) involved in assisting the refugees. Within this project, we offered vouchers for food and hygiene products to Ukrainian refugees hosted both in refugee centres and in private households (including third-country nationals and Roma people), institutional sanitation kits and household equipment to refugee accommodation centres, schools and kindergartens all over the country.
UKRAINE EMERGENCY RESPONSE – RELIEF ASSISTANCE AND VOCATIONAL EMPOWERMENT OF REFUGEE WOMEN
This project aimed at providing relief assistance to refugees and vocational empowerment for refugee women. Under this project, CCR supported refugee women to become stronger and more independent after learning a new profession at vocational courses; facilitated access to nutritious and safe food and water, as well as hygiene products through vouchers distributed to refugees from various regions in Moldova (especially from private households in rural areas); CCR conducted psycho-social activities with refugee children and women from the most vulnerable families in Chisinau and regions.
UKRAINE EMERGENCY RESPONSE – FACILITATING ACCESS TO MEDICINES
The project aimed at identifying, through municipalities, vulnerable refugees, who follow long-term medical treatment, and help them get access to the medicines needed using vouchers that they used in a network of pharmacies and which allowed them to buy medical products according to their individual needs. The project targeted refugees living in Chisinau but also in rural areas, where help is scarcer. Following the implementation of this project, Ukrainian refugee families from the most vulnerable groups benefited from facilitated access to safe medicines and medical products, refugee children and adults from vulnerable categories benefited from basic medical kits; refugee vulnerable families benefited from hygienic kits to meet daily needs to stay clean and safe; 1 medical centre in Chisinau, and two refugee hosting villages (Mereni – Ialoveni, and Hirbovat – Anenii Noi) received kits of medical products under this project.
Ukraine emergency response - technical support to improve reception capacities of refugee accommodation centre
The project aimed at supporting refugee accommodation centres with household equipment and shelter supplies so that every asylum seeker and refugee hosted has access to dignified and safe conditions.
Crowdfunding through the AIDONIC Platform
Thanks to the generous help of donors on the AIDONIC crowdfunding platform as well as AIDONIC’s team, CCR could help Ukrainian refugees with vouchers for food and hygiene products from the very beginning of the crisis.
Ukraine emergency response
By this project, CCR distributed vouchers for food and hygiene products directly to newly arrived refugees and vulnerable groups. The vouchers can be redeemed in specialized stores throughout the country.
