On Thursday, 14th of June 2018, Mr. Djavid Paknehad – the director of Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR), together with the CCR`s employment counsellor Mrs. Ecaterina Silvestru had a field visit to the goats and cows farm in Anenii Noi district to check the working, living and salary conditions of the Ukrainian refugee who has received support and assistance in getting this job just a few days before.
From beginning the refugee from Ukraine showed his desire for an official job in the village, the only conditions being a place to live and a monthly salary. After all searches and conversations with different employees, the best option was the village farm situated at approximately 30 km from Chișinău. The farm belongs to village`s church and the milk is directed to a factory from Chișinău.
The village`s priest has made visitors acquainted the farm with its five workers, including the Ukrainian refugee. During the conversation with the employer, it was understood that the engagements took by the employee towards the refugee and CCR are respected:
– official employment with work book / license;
– three meals per day provided free of charge;
– place to live at the farm, including in parochial house for holidays;
– the monthly salary without retardation.
The refugee was grateful for all the conditions and also by the small but friendly collective.
CCR with support of the UNHCR Moldova provides employment counselling to refugees, beneficiaries of humanitarian protection and asylum seekers to facilitate their engagement and thus their integration on the local labor market that help them to economically secure their families.
