ASYLUM-SEEKERS ARE PROVIDED FOOD AND HYGIENE ITEMS

In relation to the last developments of the COVID-19 worldwide and in the Republic of Moldova and the recommendations of the authorities to impede the fast spread of the virus across the country, the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR), in the framework of the UNHCR programme, provided on 21 April 2020 food products and hygiene items to the asylum-seekers, including women and children, that are living at the Temporary Accommodation Centre.

The measure was undertaken to minimize the risk of infection with the corona virus while ensuring  that the basic needs of the asylum-seekers are met. The distribution of the stock of food and hygiene items was ensured with the support of the asylum-seekers.

CCR is monitoring situation of the refugees and asylum-seekers and identify the challenges and problems people are facing because of the temporary restrictions to reduce the negative impact on their lives.
