On 21st of May, Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR), partner of UNHCR Moldova and BMA organized in collaboration with International Women`s Club in Moldova (IWCM) a food item distribution charity action destined for the refugees from Moldova.
At the event, CCR had guests from International Women`s Club in Moldova – Mrs. Ursulla, Mrs. Claudia and Ms. Corina that hold a speech to greet refugees and wish them to enjoy the donation. Also, in that speech, it was told that the money collected in December 2017 at the Winter Charity Bazaar was gone to the IWCM Fund and they were proud to attend the first activity of the CCR project supported by them, Charity Centre for Refugees being one of the beneficiaries of this fund.
CCR`s principal room was full, because there were present refugees and asylum seekers from different countries, like: Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine etc. Around 170 refugees and asylum seekers got packages with food products, which are necessary in each family – sugar, flour, sunflower oil, buckwheat, rice, macaroni, peas and tomato pasta. People were happy, as mostly their families include five or even more members so, the action was a great help for them.
At the end, Mr. Djavid Paknehad – CCR`s Director, addressed his gratitude to International Women’s Club of Moldova – in head of Mrs. Maria Marinuța and Mrs. Aisha Al-Maliki – and he hopes for a future collaboration. CCR highly appreciates IWCM’s contribution for the refugee community in Moldova.
