On 08th of September 2021, the Deputy Director and Fundraising Specialist of the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR), Mrs. Sabnam-Cristina Paknehad, partner of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the Bureau for Migration and Asylum, participated at the ceremony of small grant awarding. The aim was to mark both the support given by UN Women to civil society organizations in strengthening their institutional capacities and the commitment of these organizations to contribute to the elimination of violence against women and girls and to promote the principles of gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The initiative of the donors is focused on bringing about a transformative change in civil society organizations, being supported to develop gender-sensitive internal policies and to integrate the gender dimension into their internal structure, in order to further promote the culture of tolerance, equality and non-discrimination in country.
The event began with speeches by the representatives of Sweden, UN Women and UNAIDS, followed by the awarding of certificates to all grant winners, a small reception and a networking session.
CCR brings its gratitude to UN Women Moldova and to Sweden for the financial support and for their vote of confidence, which will bring the capacity building of our NGO on a new level.
