The Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR), partner of UNHCR Regional Representation for Central Europe, initiated in 2019 a trustworthy collaboration with the Municipal Directorate for Social Assistance and Health in the framework of which asylum seekers that live at the Temporary Accommodation Centre (TAC) and refugees in need benefit from social lunches alongside with the vulnerable locals.
After 2-months break this year, the social lunches were distributed again starting with 9 March on a daily basis to inhabitants living at TAC and vulnerable and elderly refugees living in Chisinau. These lunches are provided in the context of COVID-19 from the social canteen.
The Director of CCR brings its gratitude to the Chisinau City Hall headed by the General Mayor, Mr. Ion Ceban and the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health led by Mrs. Tatiana Bucearschi.
