The World Refugee Day is an international day designated by the United Nations to honor refugees around the globe. It falls each year on June 20 and celebrates the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home country to escape conflict or persecution.
Each year, the World Refugee Day is marked by a variety of events in all countries, including in the Republic of Moldova, in support of refugees. This year, due to the still existing pandemic, the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR), within the framework of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees program in Moldova, with the support of the Bureau for Migration and Asylum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, decided to make an exhibition of paintings and handicrafts, made by the refugee children and women, which will be exhibited in the Government House during 14-25 of June, 2021.
The director of CCR, Mr. Djavid Paknehad, brings sincere thanks from the name of the refugee community to the Government of the Republic of Moldova for providing the hall for the exhibition of works, and supporting and respecting the meaning of this action.
