VISITS TO STATELESS PERSONS AT NORTH AND SOUTH OF MOLDOVA

In the period 17-18 December 2020, the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR) in the framework of the UNHCR project and with the support of the Bureau for Migration and Asylum, paid social visits to north and south of the Republic of Moldova to stateless persons that live in Orhei, Balti, Falesti, Hancesti, Leova, Comrat and Cahul. In Balti, CCR social worker and project coordinator discussed with the stateless people at the one-stop shop from the north regional service of the Bureau for Migration and Asylum.

During the visits, CCR assessed their socio-economic situation, found out the most common problems and challenges they face with during pandemic. It is worth to mention that stateless persons are vulnerable category of people that need special support and assistance.
