On 13th of October 2020, the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR) conducted an online conference on Zoom for the women and children from the refugee community and mix families which was dedicated to the celebration of the “Patron Saint of the City Chisinau”, which is named in Romanian “Hramul Orasului Chisinau”. The presentation in PowerPoint aimed at informing participants about the Chisinau’s short history, interesting facts about the capital city of the Republic of Moldova and the difference between “Hramul Orasului Chisinau” and “Chisinau City Day”. Both, children and adults were very active in answering the quiz regarding 14th of October celebration and Chisinau’s interesting facts.

In total, at this event participated 43 persons –  37 refugee and mix families’ women and children and 6 CCR’s members.

This was the first online meeting within a wider chapter, entitled “Let’s discover Moldova”.

The refugee community appreciates CCR’s goal to promote the culture and traditions of the host country – Republic of Moldova – by such kind of useful informative sessions.
