In June 2018, the Charity Centre for Refugees hosted three interns from Free International University of Moldova. The students were interested to study and earn experience about asylum system in Moldova.
From the beginning, Mr. Djavid Paknehad – director of CCR – gave the definitions and explained the difference between the migrants, refugees, asylum seekers and beneficiaries of humanitarian protection. The interns were supported to understand who the beneficiaries are and what services CCR provides to help them. The students read the UNHCR Code of Conduct, the Law No. 270 of 18.12.2008 regarding the asylum in Republic of Moldova, visited CCR`s Facebook page and website where they could see all the meetings at CCR`s office and in another locations.
The interns participated at the UNHCR informative session on human rights and refugee protection as well at the Temporary Accommodation Centre. They talk with beneficiaries and from the first source could hear their stories of how they arrived in Republic of Moldova, how was the life in their home countries and give a real mark to everything through all that they had to pass.
When the students received their characteristics, Mr. Paknehad wished them the best, good luck in all the beginnings, gave backpacks with the badge of CCR as a small memory about the organization and told them that the doors of CCR will be always opened for them.
