Considering the recent outbreak and developments of the coronavirus worldwide that affected the Republic of Moldova as well, the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR), partner of the UNHCR Regional Representation for Central Europe, aknowledges that it is essential to undertake measures to impede the spread of the COVID-19 and protect refugees and asylum-seekers who are one of the most vulnerable categories of people.

Additionally, to the range of actions undertaken by the authorities to reduce the potentially negative impact such measures may have on refugees’ lives, CCR in collaboration with the Bureau for Migration and Asylum agreed to provide food and hygiene products to the asylum-seekers living at the Temporary Accommodation Centre. The distribution of the stock of food and hygiene items was actively supported by the asylum-seekers living at the TAC.
