In the period 12-14 August 2019, the Charity Centre for Refugees within the programme of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Ukraine and in partnership with the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation organized a celebration meal for refugees and asylum seekers living in the Republic of Moldova dedicated to the Muslim holiday, Eid Al Adha. The event took place in an Arabic restaurant of a Palestinian refugee entrepreneur in Chisinau.
On the occasion of the holiday, there were slaughtered cows and bulls and packets with beef were distributed to refugees, asylum-seekers and migrants, symbolizing the sacrifice which is the core idea of the holiday.
CCR and refugee community is grateful to the UAE Embassy in Ukraine and Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation for their generous contribution to organize such wonderful events and do highly appreciate the initiative.
